Re: Gauging interest in Neopets talk

I think interest can wax and wane depending on other factors in life. Yes, even though I'm pretty disillusioned with it at the mo partly because of lag and not much new happening and partly because of busy-ness IRL, I can easily imagine getting interested again if some new site event or developemen...

Re: Gauging interest in Neopets talk

I think I'm finally getting bored with it, to be honest, and the lag & general lack of content/excitement isn't helping. Even the approved fansites seem a lot quieter than they were just a year or two back. It seems there are not as many of us 'old-timers' around these days :-P I do my dailies, ...

Re: Maractite and Polka Dot Lenny

Polkadot is a fun concept for a colourfill. The legs being different colours is a little odd, though, I'm not sure that works.

Maractite is pretty, the pattern a little sparse in the middle of the upheld wing possibly.

Re: Post minor achievements/woes here!

Funny you should mention that today Fjorab - I've just done my (limited amount of) dailies and tonight the site positively flew, much faster than it's been for weeks. Most pages taking in the region of 2-5 seconds to load. Every other time the site's been down for streamlining it's come back with no...

Re: Stealthy and Eventide Buzz

Eventide: The wings are very impressive, great detailing there. In fact it looks great everywhere, except the chest/feet - the plain almost-gradient-fill colouring really jars next to the detail on the rest of it. Stealthy: Clothed pet is well-designed and not too cluttered. Unclothed pet is a great...

Re: Wraith and Eventide Usul

I echo what you guys have already said about the Wraith - it's different, and it's great! I definitely prefer this style to the flatter two-tone Wraiths we've had in the past. Even the Eventide's above average - much starry area is good. Not sure I like the inconsistent outline colouring but it's on...

Re: Possible New Neopet

Looks more like a Subeta design than a Neopet (well, Subeta when I used to play it about 5 years ago - I dare say they've moved on quite a lot style-wise over that time). ETA: It looks similar in style to the kind of pets featured in the '50 new pets' April Fools gag from way-back-when, i.e. an unpo...

Re: Water and Eventide Bori

Hurrah, now I can actually see them properly! I'm liking Eventide - the red/orange bits confined to the feet, lots of stars and dark blue bits - and the shading on the scales on the back give them a really chunky bulbous look. Top effort! Water's got a good level of detail on it, too. The foam on th...

Re: Swamp Gas and Dimensional Jetsam

Best. Eventide. Evaaar!

That's one heck of a neon-effect Dimensional - I quite like the colours used but it's all rather in-your-face.

Swamp Gas is bog standard.

Re: Woodland and Strawberry Eyrie

Woodland's a bit like a carved wingless Eyrie that has run headlong into a tree branch, but beautiful and intricately detailed nonetheless. Top marks to the artist, a lot of work's gone in to this one :-)

Re: Post minor achievements/woes here!

I didn't know either so I had a look-see... It seems that the duplication glitch/exploit that occurred a long time ago has re-appeared and the TP/Auctions/shops are awash with copied items. This is the 'serious item issue' that TNT mentioned in this week's editorial. Be extra-super-cautious buying a...

Pastel is quite pleasant, but very marshmallowy. Transparent, yep, wings/ears look very plain without any bones in 'em.

Re: Chocolate and Strawberry Grundo

It's a shame that so much effort was put into the excellent antennae that it makes the rest of the pet look distinctly bland. The white chocolate decoration looks flat and stuck on, especially on the torso where you'd expect to see some distortion (the Grundo's pose is rather confusing - it's standi...

Re: Greetings. Long time no see.

Hi Xelio! Welcome back to Neocolours and the Neopets community. We're still the officially unofficial Neopet colour guide! Nice to see the sigs of old make a reappearance here too.
