The advantage of the Turmaculus alert is indeed that we know exactly when they end and how often they'll happen. With a LE pet alert this isn't known, so it'd have to be ended manually. Confirmations are also more difficult to do. Last, they are usually available for a short amount of time, so I'm n...

Not on .nl though (even though it's 3rd place, with the temp one being 1st).

Still, when you consider the number of pages about this Neocolours band, we're doing quite well.

Seems like I've underestimated the number of people viewing the site with a 800x600 resolution or other smaller screen. Maybe I should lower the default from five to four anyway? In the mean time, 6 pets fit quite nicely on a 1024x768 screen for me, so those who have higher resolutions may want to c...

The problem with adding a table is that the top bit is currently handled by the layout, while the menu is generated elsewhere by the script itself, and the layout engine isn't sophisticated enough to handle dynamic generation yet. I've set up a quick patch: The width of the element is now restricted...

I've just claimed the name for an account I'm planning to use for various Neocolours-related purposes - I thought that'd be good enough. I've gone for the Ogrin for now. It's new, it's generally considered as not the greatest pet on the site... and it can always be morphed if we want to. As for the ...

Responding in order... The Unreleased page showing released pets: At the moment, since I've not yet been unlazy enough to check out how some cookie things work, they need to be updated manually. But hey, that's why I asked for those volunteers! ;) I'll see whether there's anything I can do about the...

I believe this is related to some code I use to handle cookies. What happens is that when checking whether you are logged in, and what you are allowed to access (mostly for Turmaculus at the moment - the link to set it is hidden if you are not logged in) I first check the session cookie and table be...

Of all the useless updates... A little birdie (Read: automatic cronjob email that informs me of script execution stuff for debugging purposes) just told me that a couple of minor changes have been made. Link with old poses! The idea seems to be that some blue spots have been removed and that the pho...

For the layout, just mail it to me, email adress can be found in several places, and I'll see what I can do. It can't really get worse ;) As for PHP help.. I think I'll compile a short guide with functions and db definitions and whatever more soon to use for coding help, as well as stuff that I thin...

(Site) Volunteers wanted!

Fellow Neocolourians*, Neocolours needs your help. If there's one thing that didn't go well on the old Neocolours, it's the poorer maintenance that occured after some time. Scripts stopped working, old poses were duplicated, detection didn't always happen properly, and in general too many things dep...

Re: Glowing Gnorbu

I don't know why it didn't show up on the front page - I had to search manually for it to make it show up. Too many people appear to have been visiting the site/forums today, so that the server couldn't connect to the Neopets server to check for new colours. I'm running a manual detection right now...

Who does which should be fairly trivial: one list of all shopkeepers with Edit links, one list of shopkeepers not yet checked by a human (but with automated data generated from the shop script), and possibly a "Give me a random one to tag" link. Use an SQL LIKE for tag searches, or just cr...

The list on the Create/Edit shop page has all of them listed in the format "PETNAME - DESCRIPTION", so a first seperation shouldn't be too difficult. Other than that, I've already got an administration interface that I'm going to need volunteers for, and ten people categorizing them will g...

I've added it to the list of stuff to do. If someone gets around to it first, great, but it'll be done some day ;)
