Re: The Golden Compass

What are peoples' opinions of the girl who plays Lyra? She strikes me as too girly and a little too old, but I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm nervous that she might not be able to act, and if this is the case then I won't waste my money.

Re: Misticpets - Brand spanking new petsite

I find the pet art to be wholly unexciting: I don't like the style of colouring used, the line art looks blurry on some pets, and the anatomy on most of them is overall inferior to subeta. I also don't like the design of the pets themselves -- they're either too detailed and busy (mandoran, tarinook...

Re: Neocolours Christmas Card Exchange?

I would love to do this! Maybe some of you who like sending cards will become regular penpal exchangees with me. I loooove getting mail, and really like making my own cards. I might not be able to handmake every card if I send out a lot, but would be very enthusiastic about participating in such a t...

Re: Possible Kora revamp

Kudus! As always, Rah proves herself to be incredible at listening to and implementing critique. The result is great. I think moving the back right leg so that it doesn't seem to touch an invisible ground was a fantastic touch -- that, combined with the slimming down, has really brought it back to i...

Re: Moving to California

I'm not entirely sure my new car is road worthy for long trips, but maybe I can come VISIT when you guys get a place and get settled in (which I am positive will all go smoothly)!!!! You can impart all of your wisdom about surviving a zombie attack. I'm so woefully unprepared; I'm sure I'd be the fi...

Re: Nightmare Pets!!!

I have hopes for this next month maybe filling out the other galactics, wings. It bugs me tooo. Okay, I LOVE this and want to make several pets this colour immediately. I snagged a potion and am sitting on it for now, waiting and hoping for a fantastic montre or maybe celinox. Any news yet on whethe...

Re: A Trip Down Memory Lane

We are so awesome! I love NC! the end. It makes me sad that I never got around to posting a sample of my handwriting because, I assure you all, I have lovely handwriting about 8% of the time. Did we ever do a thread with voiceclips of ourselves? If not, we totally should. I've got lots of recordings...

Re: Reborn Warador and Glacier Celinox

Much as I usually adore and worship FMD's art, this celinox doesn't sit right with me at all. I can see where Scimthary is coming from with the head comment -- I think it's probably the fault of the pose and the medium, but it looks awkward to me, perhaps a bit off anatomically. And though this is a...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW

Thanks for the car-condolences, my friends. I've been feeling much better in terms of my whiplash, which is good 'cause I'm almost out of vicodin. I've been trying to stay off the computer to rest my wrist -- it still hurts awfully. Doctors were bandying around the possibility of nerve damage last t...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW

Shae -- since your situation has changed, I'd think it's only fair to perhaps reorder how you and your husband deal with your boy. You could alternate nights -- a friend of mine and her husband do that. That way it's not just one person who is sleep deprived all the time... Woe: I got into a car acc...

Re: The ONLY movie you need to see this winter!

Mr. Black, I'm tired of Tim Burton too. I've enjoyed a few of his films -- mostly because of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter -- but he seems to allllways do the exact same thing. The plots may vary, but the atmosphere of all of his films has started to feel exactly the same. It wouldn't even ta...

Re: Mallarchy Revamp + Marsh, Nuclear

I don't really like the new Mallarchy, but you guys are nitpicking its anatomical structure a bit too much. I mean, it's a cartoon duck-monster. If you stick around, you'll find that this is simply what we do . We've got a lot of artists and a lot of members with deep knowledge of animals, as well ...

Re: New Pet! The Sage!

I like the name change, and think it was a good idea. The point about there already being too many pets whose names begin with M aside, I think that "mahar" sounds much less harsh than "sage," more mysterious and certainly less common. I also appreciate the way the staff justifie...

Marseille is really pretty! That's brave of you, to go live there. You'll have to take lots of photos and report back as often as you can.

Re: Scribble Legeica and #886

"Nice but not scribble" -- ahhh, this is the neocolours I know and love, nitpicking about whether or not a particular pet fulfills our expectations for the colour!

Yeah, anyway, I agree. Not scribbly enough. I do like how the legecia looks even more like a little pony than usual, though.
