Checkered and Halloween Eyrie
Yes, that's right. TNT have released a Checkered Eyrie for this year's Eyrie Day.
What a disappointment.
Mod Note: I merged the two topics, as they're both new Eyries and only a day or so apart.

Re: Checkered Eyrie
Seriously? Lame. It's not even a GOOD checkered.
The clothes are the stupid annoying kind that make the mane disappear, too. (How many people do you know who lose all their hair when they get dressed?)
Eyrie days have a history of being a let-down and this is no exception.

It's such a let-down - one colour! And we know that the Eyrie has the potential to be awesome, as we have seen with the Maraquan Eyrie - a dreamie for a lot of people. When I went to the news page to get the Neopian Times I was stunned to say the least.

Re: Checkered Eyrie
Why only one color? And a lame color at that. I do like that they used both dark and light checks, though. The orange beak breaks up the greys a bit so that you don't have to gouge your eyes out...
Re: Checkered Eyrie
I like the shades of grey on the wings, and the checks on the mane look almost silvery (though they don't seem to follow the contours of the surface very well).
Re: Checkered Eyrie
The pet itself is rather meh. However, the plushies are far superior to the Grarrl Day plushies.
...Granted, it wasn't hard to make better than 2007 art.
The plushie is actually making me like the Faerie Eyrie. It's soft and cuddly.

Actually, as far as the clothes go, I rather like this outfit. I thought it was very striking as soon as I saw it.

Re: Checkered Eyrie
I'm suspecting (or hoping, I'm not sure which) that they'll either release another Eyrie colour a bit late or that the Eyrie may be the Halloween-pet this year and so they simply released one colour.
Faster than a speeding cheeseburger, but not by much.

Re: Checkered Eyrie
I'd like it (especially on the Cloud Eyrie) if it weren't for the Vanishing Mane thing. The mane can't possibly be THAT flat under the clothes!Rainbow Daydreamer wrote:Actually, as far as the clothes go, I rather like this outfit. I thought it was very striking as soon as I saw it.

Re: Checkered Eyrie
I'd actually like this Eyrie if it's mane didn't look like that checkered background you get on Paint Shop Pro when you delete the background. It's just so flat, it'd be alright otherwise.

Re: Checkered Eyrie
That's what I was going to say, adi! It looks like they screencapped a transparent Eyrie.
