And anyone who paid by paypal can dispute it through there. Subeta itself can't give refunds for it, and I doubt she'll volunteer to, but it'd be refreshing if she did.

Yeah, I'm very glad she refunded my friend. I would have felt terrible had she not...

She's been frozen and she is refunding people who haven't gotten their overlays yet - though she's doing jack shit about all the overlays she DID copy. Oh well, at least she's frozen.

Even if you GOT an overlay and want a refund, fill out a paypal dispute. Paypal will force her to refund it if she wants to or not.

I thought I was just seeing things, until I started comparing just yesterday.
I was contemplating commissioning her for an overlay of my paralix then I thought I would be paying for just a trace over of my own paralix art!

Its really sad actually, I thought she was a great artist.. but I don't understand why she felt the need to trace over official art to get official looking overlays? Consistency isn't tracing :c
The fact that she was charging real money as well.. uhg

Damn jessi, good call on your part.
I'm so glad I finally know whats been bugging me about her overlays, I just couldn't put my finger on it
but certain features on her "redrawn" overlays just looked so odd and now I know why

Shame on her, she can draw so why did she have to go about tracing? along with asking for real money?
I'm glad she got banned, though I feel so bad for the people who got jipped for already paid overlays D;

For anyone who bought an overlay from her.

I don't have much more to say, really.

Wow, I'm shocked and slightly appalled. I always enjoyed her work and can't believe she went to such efforts to trace

Huge kudos the Subeta for dealing with this swiftly and appropriately. And some warning to those getting refunds. While Paypal sides with the buyer 99.9% of the time, if the sellers account is empty, you will not be issued a refund even if they side with you. I have a lot of horror stories from my time in the Pullip doll community because of that (however, it's been a while since I've dealt personally with this, so it could have been changed. Just a heads up). But since this wasn't a huge amount of money being exchanged, I don't think there will be too much of an issue.

I agree with Helios though, I remember seeing her old work (the common Kerubi for example from her DA page) and then her newer stuff and seeing something wasn't quite right. Peoples art styles change, and people improve but there was something just completely off about this change

EDIT: Oh dear god some of the comments on her DA journal make me rage. Although it's not quite as bad, it reminds me of a few years ago when this Disney artist was caught tracing. The difference was, the artist blatantly told everyone saying "Oh, it's no big deal" that it WAS infact. It's highly illegal especially since she was getting paid for it. DA is full of asskissers, but how can people be so seriously blind? (I'd comment, but I don't know her and Jessi summed up everything I wanted to say)

...long post is long 8| Sorry bout that, art copyright infringement is kind of my forte
