Tarla's Mystery Tour

Starting Thursday (4/29) at midnight NST you may spot Tarla out and about around the site. If you do, catch her quick! You can win Neopoints and other prizes, and maybe reveal a mystery while you're at it. No one knows where or when she'll show up, so keep your eye out. Well, not literally. That would be painful. You know what we mean.
Oh, TNT. Never change your sense of humour. ♥

That aside, I'm very curious about what this is going to be. If "around Neopia" means ads, as it has done in the past, then I'll miss out due to being a Premie, but I'm hoping they've found some better way. It sounds like it's going to be a giveaway, but I'm intrigued by the "mystery" they mention. It's going to last a month according to the Help page, which will bring the end in just before the Altador Cup, but I can't see it tying into that. I also wonder whether her appearances will be randomised for each user, or whether there'll be a rush of "Tarla is in the Ice Caves! Gogogo!"-type alerts going out on people's Twitter feeds.

And is it just me, or looking at that picture has Tarla suddenly aged by ten years or so?

And here I thought Neopets was supposed to be a kids' site, but all these new anthro come-hither-eyed critters running around? I think TNT is trying to entice a totally different audience than small children.

Yikes. Sexy pets tend to creep me out. Anyone else think the waitress at Kelp is kind of weird? How does a horse even HAVE cleavage?

The redraw of Tarla that's on the main page and in her shop looks pretty good! Kinda sleepy and mysterious rather than seductive. I'd post a picture, but am prevented from doing so by my profound technical illiteracy. If Ctrl +V doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.

So... we're supposed to imagine she's out and about in Neopia, after midnight, looking like that? Keep my eye out? I think I'll poke my eyes out :-P

I didn't think the pet-based characters would go in the same direction as the faeries, I mean it's nicely drawn and all but I don't think the world is ready for a seductive Ixi.

How the heck are we supposed to find her and still have a life?! I mean seriously TNT, this 'random time, random place' is hardly fair to folks that don't have all day to search around the site.

Nogitsune, Jellyneo are trying to keep track of her appearances on Twitter, so you could follow @jellyneo and use Echofon to give you an alert when they post a new tweet. Or just watch the boards?

Im not liking this very much. I was lucky to catch it once, this morning, and cleared the mist. But...seeing as how I do stuff NOT ON NEOPETS a lot, I keep missing her.

Its not as great as it should be considering shes only in one spot for like 5 minutes. >: |

Finally caught her, and cleared some mist. Next time, heh, assuming I'm ever so fortunate again, I'm going to try for a prize.

I'd actually rather like the new design she has if it wasn't for her expression. I love her outfit and overall design I just don't want a shop keeper staring at me that way.
