After a brief visit to PPT earlier, I ran into some rather unsettling news. It disturbed me greatly, for, since what has happened recently to pets and the layout, well, I shall let you read more...

I certainly agree. A few posts have confirmed this rumour to be true. It's a totally stupid idea that really has nothing to do with us our our pets. Moderating this system would be absolutely crazy. I think they should pull the plug on the idea, personally. It will bring nothing good to the site.

I already abandoned one pet yesterday...time to start sorting through the rest.

In theory, you could just...have a porn movie on there with a Neopets plushie in the backgrouhnd and still call it Neopets related. That's what they do on some of the Neoboards...talk about something completely off topic and have "Oh yeah, Neopets rock!" -.-'

I need to take Neopetts off my startup tabs.

I was about to say NeoTube, but yours is better.

I'm left boggling more at how they would be able to run this rather than why. I mean, Neopets is certainly not the fastest-loading site right now, imagine how it'd be with videos, etc. And the filtering of the videos, that would have to be a thankless job right there.

Keep in mind these simple rules when you submit your videos for streaming on this site and related sites.

1. Your video must be about Neopia. We know you have a lot of other interests but we don't. We live and breath Neopets and we only want to watch videos about Neopets.
2. Remember the audience. All ages and types visit Neopia and so the content must be appropriate for everyone. Think G rated movie fun. Anything prohibited on the Neoboards is also prohibited in your videos.
3. No faces. Okay, so you are good looking/cute/handsome, etc. So are we. But this is not the place to launch your acting career.
4. No logos nor trademarks of other companies. We certainly like our NEOPETS mark, but we hate to see other companies' names in videos.
5. Nothing that identifies where you live on earth. No school names, street addresses or town names. Remember Rule 1 - your school does not exist on Neopia (and aren't you glad!).
6. Only your own music. If you didn't write and perform the music in your video, don't submit it. We know you are creative and musical and talented, so prove it in your video.

Why bother typing what someone's already said?

Seriously, someone else uploading videos to the site isn't going to affect me in any forseeable way (save for potential lag), but if this is the direction the site's heading in, then soon there will be nothing left that's worth me staying for. There's a reason I'm not an active member on MySpace (hell, the only reason I made an account was because my friend insisted I at least try it).

That's funnay. What with the not being able to put up real life photos and what not. I hope everyone that uploads a video of them talking to their favorite plushie gets frozen.
