I haven't figured out how to get the extra prize, though.

Find treasure just by clicking 'round.

The first part seems a bit obvious - the Haunted Woods Fairgrounds - possibly specifically the Carnival of Terror.
The second part is a bit trickier. If the first isn't referring to the Carnival of Terror specifically then it could be anything in the Fairgrounds, if it is I'm not sure what needs to be clicked on that game.

I'm also not sure whether they mean 'around' or something round in shape. I've tried the Wheel of Misfortune but I'm not sure what in Carnival of Terror it might refer to, or if there's something I'm overlooking completely.

It seems to be random locations in the Deserted Fairgrounds. I found my item at Haunted Weaponry.

Yeah, it's random - I got mine at Haunted Weaponry but I know other people who got it at Ghost Pets.

Try checking your inventory? I clicked everywhere, got no announcement, but found the negg-splat in my inventory anyway.

I didn't get the clue this morning but read it on other sites, so I just now went clicking around The Deserted Fairground.
And I got nothing.

I decided to go to the Springtime Celebration page again and Rosie had the clue for me.
I went back to The Deserted Fairground and had the prize pop up within two clicks.

If you are Premium and have NOT got your prize yet disable your site in portal mode. if you are using site in portal mode you will be able to see your premium dailies bar. to get out of it just click the red and green circular arrows under the logout button. then go back to the clue then to the fair ground and try again

If you still haven't found the prize, you might try switching browsers if you are using one that blocks pop-ups, like FF. I didn't realize the prize came from a pop-up and didn't find anything when I went searching with FF, but after I switched to IE I got it at Coconut Shy.

The uni was called Rose Madder (I think this might have been a reference to a band that was popular at the time), but usually referred to as Rose, if memory serves.

It's also a colour of paint, a bright red:
