Items for an antique/junk gallery?

Post by Sparrow »

Even after promising myself that I would never play Neo again, it seems I've been drawn in once more, at least for the time being. I have gotten rid of most of my things, pets and accounts I no longer wanted, but I've kept my main account and even bought some new things for it. To that end, I've re-started my gallery with a new theme-- a kind of steampunkish, antique junk shop, most of which is complete rubbish but with the occasional bright and valuable thing. Books, maps, writing utensils, china, anything old and dull-looking but still pretty. I've just been browsing the "pretty items" thread for inspiration and already bought a few things, but I would love any suggestions for new items that I haven't seen yet!

You can see what I've collected so far here: http://www.neopets.com/gallery/?gu=valkyriemaiden Some of these items will be moved around, nothing is permanent yet, but hopefully you get the idea of the general theme.

That's a really cool idea. I really like that it's not all super expensive items. (:

Just a couple thing I though you might like.
I still have about ten more pages of items to look through. xD

I like the Modern Spells and King Hagan book! *adds to shopping list* And they have the advantage of being quite cheap. I thought it would be fun to collect items that weren't super expensive, like you said, just because it's an old junk shop with little of real value, but pretty cheap items make me happy. :)

Oh what a neat idea for a gallery. Honestly, I haven't been so impressed with an idea for a gallery in quite some time. If I ever do manage to spy something that looks like it might work I'll have to notify you.

I love this idea! I can't believe I never thought of it when I was trying to come up with a good idea which is surprising as I work in antique silver and jewellery, LOL.

How about:

Sophie's Magic Hat

Scroll of Curses

Dusty Old Tambourine

Vintage Gold Earrings (NC)

Vintage Gold Necklace (NC)

Image
Chomby Prehistoric Bone Necklace (There's 7 other Chomy prehistoric items from the same set!)

Antique Furniture

I'd love to see your gallery when it has more items! Such a cool idea, good luck with it! :D
