Making Adoptables?

Post by immortal_janemba »

Hii,

Well I was thinking tonight that maybe I'd want to try making some. So I 'whipped' this up.

I was wondering what people thought, I know it's not the best but I didn't exactly spend ages on it ;) Should I lose the background and just keep the pet? Or change the background somehow, add something in? Make the image smaller? Any kind of advice wanted. ^^

If you show us what it looks like without the background it might be easier to decide. I like it though, and you don't see many adoptables with backgrounds anyway, so it might work as it is.

I say without the background. ^^ Or maybe you could offer both.

Hmm... Maybe if I do offer both like you say, Mac, then I should make the background a lil smaller. This look better for the background version?

Yeah, I think that looks better; I've always liked little wings or claws poking out, heh.

I think it's good, and you should offer it with andwithout the background. The only thing that bugs me is that the left side of its face (our left) looks a bit squinty. I think its becuase the bottom part of the eye curves upwards rather than downwards.

Thanks, I don't own one either, Hissi was just for some reason the pet I had in mind to try it out with 0_o I think I may convert a spare pet page to an adoptables place very soon then. However I feel like making a second one beforehand. So if you like the general style just request a pet (can be colour specific if you like) and I'll make the first person's request only :P

Hmm I guess I'll decide what pet then lol. Unless someone wants to suggest something in the 10 mins after this post otherwise I'll just start :P

Can you make a faerie kougra? *hopes I've gotten it in* I like the style, and I definitely like the hissi's wings poking out the sides. It's different from usual adoptables...cuz while just the pet is nice, having some sort of a border is just as nice.
I should really stop art whoring....
