...The gems on the Sage didn't bother me at all before, but you guys have successfully creeped me out. ;_; And this is coming from a person who occasionally lurks on 4chan.
That frog is one of the few animals that completely and totally creeps me out. There's hardly anything to compare. Still, I don't find the sage at all creepy.

On the subject of the Potsheild. Rofl, that's the very item that got me to join Subeta. I was all "Oh wow, a petsite w/ a potsheild AND bras? This place MUST be awesome!"

Edit: You win so hard I may have to steal this idea, because it fits great into my Swallowed City setting (which no one but me knows a damn thing about at this point because I <i>still</i> have not written up either the City or any of my pets). Would you mind terribly?

Count me as another who loves the idea. I can imagine its Cobal attendant helping with the ones the Sage can't reach well enough, and tending to the little tadpoles when they hatch. And the places where the gem eggs hatched pus over and crystallize and make new gem eggs...
I've just had lunch and I love the ideas being thrown around as to what those 'gem-like' things in the Sage's skin are. The egg idea totally wins IMO as it's so beautifully creepy {if Scythe were here he'd be so proud}. Looks like I'll need to have 15 pets now instead of just 12 .
I really, really love it. Luckily the gems don't resemble eyes to me at all, so I didn't even consider that possibility until I read this thread. I created Skyride right away in anticipation of a Galactic Sage... but it doesn't look like there will be any new Galactics today.
Thanks! :3 Even if I don't like how the Sage turns out, Skyride will have to be one Galactic pet or another. I can always come up with another Sage name.
