Art contest 2 - sofa
Art contest 2 - sofa
Mmmkay kids.
You know that if you're ever short of change you need only to lift up the cushions of your sofa to find anything you could need. not to mention dust and hairs and bits of food and little tiny people..
Or you do with my sofa. What's down the back of yours?
The theme for this art contest is "down the back of the sofa". It's a firly broad starting point so just go with it.
I'll get the ball rolling.

I went to go look at what what down the back of the sofas in my house, two in the living room, one in the family room, two in the basement.
Of course the ones in the living room were devoid of anything because no one ever lives in there except our cat who doesn't count because all she leaves behind is hair, and she doesn't sit on the sofas. In the family room sofa i found lots of dust and crumbs, half of a dorrito, a old milk bottle cap, and.. ooh, a mechanical pencil! and it has lead in it too!*keeps* in the downstairs ones i found nothing but a foldout bed. I expected more as my brother practically lives down there... I'm down there a lot too, but I'm usually on the floor... I like the floor... and I want a futon, but that's besides the point. despite the lack of things I have found, I do have an idea. Wait, we're being judged on the idea, not the quality of the picture, right?

Ummm I got bored, and it became bigger and more time-consuming than I planned haha.
"Far too late, Rivka realized that maybe her brother wasnt lying when he said monsters lived under her bed."
(boring explaination here -- she opened a vortex to some underworld under her couch cushion, thus inviting all these monsters into her living room. The lens flare is supposed to be an explosion of light, because I suck at drawing such things haha. I apologize for crappy shading etc. I suck.)
I also hand-shaded a version which Ill edit to this post later if anyone cares to see it. Im too lazy to go beat the scanner into submission again haha.
