I'm so enthralled by the concept of the original Portal pc game, included in The Orange Box, that I even changed my little Subeta inhuman avatar to a companion cube. I'm going to have to resort to bribery to get it for X-Mas. But, I just discovered the flash version of Portal. Infinite loops were my specialty way back when I was learning C++, but I can't seem to get past level 15. I can make it to the little platform just before the charged panels, but I somehow think that's just there to trick me into wasting time.
Nevermind. I cheated and looked it up. There are 40 levels in all.

Re: Portal: The Flash Version
I looooove Portal. The Flash game helps me get through those long lonely nights without the real game, because the real game is too short. I need to go through it again, though, and collect quotes and make them into icons. (Have to do that with Bioshock, too.)
I loves games.

Re: Portal: The Flash Version
I can't play Portal proper because I can't play first person games -- they give me motion sickness and make me all paranoid and twitchy. It's not pretty. So I was thrilled when I found this (a while back, because I know about everything on the internet), because I think Portal has one of the coolest, most interesting game concepts ever. That it's first person is part of the brilliance, but you know, I'll take what I can get.
Re: Portal: The Flash Version
Portal is my biggest obsession recently. I listen to the end song in my car a lot. :x
I really want to make a Companion Cube plushie.

Ahh, I love Portal! This version sounds really awesome but the link isn't working for me. Is it broken for anyone else?
EDIT: Well the official link doesn't work, but I managed to find the game on Newgrounds so at least I can play it. ^^

Hm, it's broken for me too, though it worked last time I tried (a couple days ago).
The flash version convinced me to buy the real thing, even though I don't do video games as a rule, and even though (like Twofold Black) they tend to make me twitchy - I get all stressed out when I'm getting shot at. But Portal is awesome.

Still don't have it yet, but I'm not going to be ass broke for much longer. I finished the flash one up until the last 2 levels, then got frustrated and forgot about it. Anyway, I was looking up characters and concepts for mmorpgs, and found this awesome little guy's test animation. He has portal powers. Squee!
