Desert & Split Gelerts
Desert & Split Gelerts
The first thing I thought when I saw the desert gelert was, "Why is it not wearing pants?" Which I guess is weird to think about a dog especially when not all desert pets are fully clothed, but I guess something looks off balance to me. And I think the wig is hilarious.

It does look rather naked for some reason. Also worried (perhaps because it has no pants).

for some reason I thought that there already was a Desert Gelert

I did too. I also thought it had the uni diaper thing on its butt instead of pants. The wig is ridiculous. The cuffs and earrings are nice, but the necklace is blurry. I think the post customization gelert is better than what came before it, but compared to other pet sites and even the old grey gelert the art looks very amateurish.

Desert Gelert: Mowgli is that you?
Split is appropriately split.
Split is appropriately split.

I likes the bracelets. That's it.
Re: Desert & Split Gelerts
Minus the wig, I really like that Desert Gelert. I kind of liked the old version better, but this one isn't so bad either. As for Split, it's just the usual Split. =D
Re: Desert & Split Gelerts
My first thought was that it definitely need more clothes as well! But I thought it needed a cape rather than pants. I do like most of the jewelry, and especially the anklets, but overall it's not that great. Maybe I just don't like the new gelerts that much. The shading on it's back is waaay too much/too obvious.

Re: Desert & Split Gelerts
Except for the wig, I like it a lot. If I had a gelert, this would be the colour for me. I like that it's not wearing pants, as I prefer to avoid "humanish" clothes for neopets. I think a bigger necklace would have helped it look less naked though.
I think the worried look comes from the eye makeup they put on most desert pets. I usually like desert eyes, but in this case it does make him look worried. Especially with the wig.oogabooga wrote:It does look rather naked for some reason. Also worried (perhaps because it has no pants).
If you're ever in doubt, throw a pepper in the air. If it fails to come down, you have gone mad, so don't trust in anything.

perhaps it looks naked because of its goldish brown color

I also thought there was already a desert gelert... and there was, so yay, I'm not crazy? I don't like the new one. It looks naked to me because it has hair--a human trait, really, if you're putting it on a dog--but no clothing.

Ty - you're actually right, twice. This post was bumped by the person above you. They were released in March.
