Subetart : 53 Glade Clawsion..instead!
Re: Subetart : 25 Bloodred Sneak Peek!
I think what might be looking "thin" about is not that the neck is too thin, but too long. The other's do have extremely skinny necks, but not nearly as long. This may work for bloodred though; the head positioning makes it look very sinister and the long, sinewy neck makes it look serpentine. Color please. (And where's coloring for some of the recent ones you've done?)

Re: Subetart : 26 Bloodred Aenoid Complete!
Such a deliciously evil plant I LOVE what you did with the feet-root-whatevers and how they are flinging blood. The mouth is pure love, the Aeanoid mouth lends well to blood-thirsty monsters it would seem.
The only nitpick I have is the highlights on some of the blood is a bit too bright/neon looking. For instance, the tentacle in the very front (the third over starting from the right), the blood highlight is a bright red color. I think it should be toned down a notch or two. With that, maybe add a bit more highlights to the blood to give it a bit more contrast overall. Don't know how much sense I'm making here

Wow that's good, very bloodthirsty, I love everything about it, can't fault it. The mouth is especially good!
Could I make a request for an Angelic Legeica? I plan on making my own Legeica Angelic when the colour is released, and I'd love to see how you'd do it.

Re: Subetart : 26 Bloodred Aenoid Complete!
it looks lovely, but I think your blood looks a bit too... gelatinous in some places - a little too thick. It probably has to do with the shading/highlights more than anything.
Re: Subetart : 26 Bloodred Aenoid Complete!
I agree with the rest of the people on the blood. It seems like old blood. Similar to when you cut yourself but it isn't bleeding but it is not quite a scab. And I would love to see your take on the Reborn Legeica! I have been waiting for one to come out for a long time.

Re: Subetart : 27 Steampunk Sheeta?! Concept!
Yes.
Steampunk.
Does it even look steam punk..ish? On that note, if it doesnt, can anyone direct me to a steampunk site? I want to make this look as steampunkish as possible.
:3 ..yea, very very early sketches, but WIPs are fun to look at sometimes

Re: Subetart : 27 Steampunk Sheeta?! Concept!
Sweeet. I'd so get one. x3
One thing though. I'm not sure how those rockets(? If they're not, just ignore this) on it's back would function. I think if it used them it'd be propelled into the ground, rather than forward. And it looks a bit more futuristic than steampunk, but like you said, it's an early WIP, so you can't really judge based on that.
I don't know any sites, though, sorry. D: All I can suggest is looking steampunk up on say...deviantart, photoshop, and google if you hadn't already. And use lots of browns, golds, coppers. And gears. Lots and lots of gears.

If the rockets swivel at the Sheeta's will, then I'm fine with 'em. ^_~
Re: Subetart : 27 Steampunk Sheeta?! Concept!
I think they might be exhaust pipes on the back, not rockets. As for help/examples this site has a lot of neat steampunk creations. Also check out the info & faq's on the bottom of that page.

I think Ill need to make it look less hightech, and give it more gears and cogs. and steam rolling off it

Umm...
I WOULD KILL to have that bloodred aenoid.
No really. XD
And though I do not understand "Steampunk" that is a sweet roboty-looking sheeta!

I love steampunk as an aesthetic. If you want fresh-built Victorian steampunk, go for lots of shiny brass, filigreed metalwork, dark wood, thick glass. Make everything elegant. Contrariwise, if you want post-apocalyptic steampunk, (I'm not sure what this properly is, but I see this theme a lot under the overall name of steampunk) think Fallout: vacuum tubes, rust, flaking paint, diamond steel and/or metal gridwork, exposed pistons, and when the metal isn't corroded or painted over it tends to be silvery.

Re: Subetart : 27 Steampunk Sheeta?! Concept!
Somewhere in the middle is a sort of street Victorian steampunk, which runs toward corroded iron and brass, black smoke as well as steam, and machines that require constant maintenance and attention to work. Exposed clockwork is important no matter what kind you're doing, though in that moneyed cognac-and-teak steampunk the clockwork is exposed because it's behind glass, and in street steampunk it's exposed because it's exposed and if you put your hand too close you will draw back a bloody stump. Finlike projections like the sails of a Chinese junk are appropriate even on things that neither swim nor fly and almost de rigeur on things that do. In general steampunk may be polished but it is not 'smooth' -- you are always aware of the furnaces, the pistons, the other aspects of the machine at furious work. Nothing in steampunk hovers on magnets if it can instead hover on a battery of rotating blades that are so loud they make conversation impossible for a hundred feet in every direction, or on a bag of gas that may at any time kill everyone aboard in an inexcapable conflagration.Sagrei wrote:I love steampunk as an aesthetic. I loves me some steampunk.
