Post by Silverevilchao »

For some reason, my image tags keep getting cut off. It goes from "img src=(url)" to:

Code: Select all

Any one else having this problem?

Um, er? Are you putting tags on them? Like -

Code: Select all

<img>
*tries*

<img>

EDIT - Ack! What the? It indeed doesn't work..

I guess in the mean time we could use ?

That seems to work. Though it takes longer to type :/ *loves and always uses the HTML way*

EDIT - CRAP! The whole HTML on the donation thread (which is like, EVERY single link) has gone kaput too.

Where are you, HTML!?!! o___o;

I think it's probably best to be using BBCode whenever you can anyway - I always use BBCode when I post (which is rare, I know, but I have an actual life now! it's quite amazing!) because I remember on the temp forum that I had stupidly forgotten to make it in my preferences to enable HTML so whenever anyone did ANYTHING with HTML it didn't show up, but BBCode did.

Until I noticed that I hadn't enabled HTML in my preferences and changed it and then could see everything. So, you know, it was my own fault, but, yeah. It was annoying :P

In conclusion, it sucks that HTML isn't working, but perhaps it's a good way to get into the habit of using BBCode seeing how that's like all default enabled and stuff? :D?

I have a feeling it's this security update:
[Sec] Some changes to HTML handling if enabled
[Sec] means a security update in the upgrade, as opposed to a bug fix or a simple change. It might have something to do with the fact that the w3c are proposing that html tags be allowed to perform tasks they wouldn't before- they want you to be able to use codes like <p src> and <li href>, for example. It's basically a simple security fix.
