ZOMG, Peophin Day Art!
Well, thinly-disguised Peophin Day art. I was working on the image for my faerie peophin, Requiel, and just decided to submit it anyway. I doubt I'll get in, as the entry might be a little bit late, but I'm happy with how it came out.
So...yes Here he be. I know everyone and their mom has a faerie peophin, but I love him so. Done while trading off between Photoshop and OpenCanvas.
You can critique if you really want to, but it's a finished piece so I highly doubt I'm going to go back and fix anything
EDIT: And just for LOLZ, here is a picture I did of a faerie peophin about three or four years ago, for comparison.

Very stunning work...and I hate peophins! As beautiful as the picture is, and it is stunning, what I was most astonished by is the comparison with your previous effort. Seeing things like that are very inspirational for me as I'm sure they are for a lot of other people. When I get frustrated with my own crappy artwork and especially my lack of technical skill with these new fangled digital programs, it's incredibly encouraging to see how people are able to improve their skills when they keep at it. Excellent job!
P.S.-If this doesn't get in the ag, I will be extremely pissed on your behalf.

Aieee, thanks so much for the lovely comments, y'all! They're much appreciated. And Ava, isn't it nice looking back on old work and doing a comparison? I get frustrated a lot with my current stuff and fall into the "there are so many people better than I am!" mindset. But then I just look back a few years or a few months, even, and see that the only person I need to compare myself to is ...myself. And I always feel better :3
