Rereading Case Histories'd be good since there's some sort of sequel coming out soon As for the ones you've suggested, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close sounds the most interesting to me, but I think I'd be willing to read any of them assuming a library nearby had them.
Oh! One I totally forgot to mention is Brick Lane.

Lolita is very good and discussable. I already read it, but nevermind.
Mortal Engines is also good. It's classed as a children's book, but it really shouldn't be.
The Wasp Factory I'm also saying.
It's hard to recommend books I haven't already read...

I'd definitely be interested in taking part in this if it were to get the go ahead. I've got a number of books that I keep meaning to get around to reading but I never seem to make the time or effort at the moment, this might help me actually do something.

Me too. I haven't read a book in ages, nor been to the library since the former librarian was replaced with a replicator. I don't have any suggestions, but I'm open to anything. I also don't think we'd need a formal member list or anything. I think we'd get and keep more people involved if they knew they could pop in or out when they're interested.
