Nice idea in principle, but it would be unfair on the less known members and would end badly.
Is it even possible to have an error-free anything upgrade?Jazzy wrote:I promised myself I wouldn't install any major mods until I got an error-free phpBB upgrade.
Sorry...? Well, the games could always wait.... The different things would need to be planned anyways....Don't even suggest such things. I am already busy. And now thinking about how to implement this. And what cool other things could be done with this. And how it could be done properly.
Curse me and my overworked slightly creative technical ADD brain!
Hey now...sometimes techs get them too!Pariah wrote:Yeah... awards are for actors.
*gripes about the little show I did last week and specifically the way how, having bent over backwards to squeeze the director's virtually unworkable demands out of literally zero budget by begging, borrwing and bodging eveything required, the director totally forgot to thank me except for a passing "oh, thanks" as I left (having de-rigged alone). And I'd chipped in £3 for his present too!*General Erin wrote:Hey now...sometimes techs get them too!Pariah wrote:Yeah... awards are for actors.
Ick..I hate when the directors forget that we put in just as much work (if not more) as the actors. My favorite saying is "without techs, the actors would be naked, standing on a dark, empty stage with no audience...and even if someone was there, they wouldn't hear them very well."Kantark wrote:*gripes about the little show I did last week and specifically the way how, having bent over backwards to squeeze the director's virtually unworkable demands out of literally zero budget by begging, borrwing and bodging eveything required, the director totally forgot to thank me except for a passing "oh, thanks" as I left (having de-rigged alone). I'm going to agree with Trick here - last time on PPT, somebody won a total of 6 awards, while they may have deserved each of them, there were also people who deserved awards too, however, being not as well-known or popular, they stood no chance in the competition. They're nice in principal, but it usually doesn't work out like that.Trick wrote:I'm not that convinced it would be that good an idea either. PPT has that I think, and as far as I can see it just becomes a general pat on the back for those that are friends with the most fellow members *shrugs* I'm not sure it would do much for inter-forum relations!
