Graveyard Ghostly and Kora
Glad I got to see these before hand since I can't see them now.
This is slightly making me regret giving up my graveyard ghostly as I had been waiting for this revamp
for awhile before my fan pet addiction kicked in XD It's absolutely GORGEOUS, I love everything about it
and then some. the best detail has to be the head, just those subtle shadows around the front of it's face
and the random stains. If I only had a reason to get one again then i would in a heart beat ;o;
Someone needs to post the old kora because I forgot what the original one looked like XD
But I love this one anyway, especially all the stitching and the different colors of it's skin.
Delightfully creepy with just enough gore for my liking c:

That kora is absolutely amazing. Seriously. I love it so hard and I am so tempted to make Cale into one. The shading and the pose are all just gorgeous. Rah U R AMASIN.

Re: Graveyard Ghostly and Kora
The Graveyard Kora was my first painted pet on the site, so I've been looking forward to a revamp (I knew it really needed one) and dreading it at the same time. While I'll miss the look of the old one, I think I like the new one even more. It keeps all the main elements of the old one but makes them better. There's so much that I like about it that I can't pick out one thing as my favorite element. The ears maybe, or the tails, or the eyes - I'm not sure. I do miss the flies though.
I really like the Ghostly too. My favorite detail is the rope around its neck.
Now, I'll continue to dread/anticipate a revamp of my Graveyard Kumos. Honestly I was disappointed that these weren't done around Halloween and had just thought this morning how it would be a good time to redo some of those Graveyard pets.

Re: Graveyard Ghostly and Kora
I'm loving these revamps! To me they both stay true to the originals while updating the art which was muchly needed.
The ghostly is so cool looking. I love the rope around it's take and the stitched smile. And the shading is just lovely, especially on the face.
The kora is just awesome. The details on it are wonderful and the shading on it is lovely as well. Makes me wish I had a character it would fit. **sighs** Oh well, I shall come here and stare at it.
Great job to both artist!

Re: Graveyard Ghostly and Kora
And which of these would have been your favorite pet and why is it ruined? Elaboration is nice!
I really like what Rah did with the new Kora. I am a bit sad to see the neck go, but the new one makes much more sense considering that Kora's don't really have much of a neck. I really like the way the legs were done, he has a nice weight to him if that makes any sense. And Rah, you do such an amazing job conveying feelings without the use of a mouth!
The Ghostly is a top notch revamp as well. The string trying the hood on is a clever touch, as are the random stains that was mentioned earlier.

Re: Graveyard Ghostly and Kora
The ghostly is great overall, but I miss the holes punched all the way through it. It makes it a lot more substantial now, a lot less ghost-like. But the details are so great that I'll forgive it (and there are tears which I suppose are compensation).
I loved the old kora but I could never get past the neck (head would fall off! immediately! precarious!), so I'm really glad to see this revamp. I miss some of the old coloring; the black paws balanced the black head nicely, and the peachy-tan color was a really nice counterpoint. But it's a good revamp.

Ack, my ghostly got revamped! Ok. It'll take some getting used to and it's definitely an improvement. Not sure about the rope... it's making me think scarecrow. Perhaps this is my opportunity to change Miedoh into a nightmare Ghostly! We shall see.

Re: Graveyard Ghostly and Kora
I am a huge fan of the Kora and this revamp does not disappoint at all! It is such a great update. I have not a single complaint other than Graveyard is one of my least favorite colors...but I even love this Kora with its evil squinty eye and rotting parts. It makes me like Graveyard more as a whole.
The Ghostly is so much more substantial now. I'm not sure if that is a good thing for people who owned the pet prior to the revamp, but you have to admit that the art is vastly improved. The rope does kind of bring to mind a scarecrow, but I also see a noose when I look at it, so I guess it works either way since scarecrows are really creepy to me (especially after that one Supernatural episode).
Both of these turned out lovely IMO.
