Subeta : DM Demi revamp + Bloodred Escalade

Dark matter. Basically, for large-scale cosmological structures like galaxies and ... say, the universe taken as a whole to function, gravitationally, in the way we can clearly see they function, there has to be a lot more matter in them than is actually visible to us (in the literal sense of being directly photographable, though in some contexts it affects other stuff in a way that can be caught on film). This matter we can't see but know is there is called dark matter and accounts for the overwhelming majority of matter in the universe. Some of it is probably regular old matter (which is to say, mostly hydrogen) that doesn't shed light, or doesn't shed enough light for us to see from here, but current speculation is that most of it is subatomic particles.

None of which is relevant here. On Subeta, dark matter consists of mischevious glowy black globules which I think are under control of, or otherwise serve, that evil chick with the quests -- what is her name? Subeta is down for me right now. They infest things and control their minds.

Old Darkmatter Demi vs New Darkmattter Demi

I like the little dark matter being squeezed between the front paws. But for some reason the pose looks slightly off to me. I don't really know what, but it just looks slightly strange. Might be the way one of the front paws is positioned.

I do like the new Demi, the art is so much better. But I really liked the colors on the old one, with the purple mane and the silver stripes. I think I'll be keeping my DM Demi for now, but I might change her if something I like better is released.

The Escalade is great, though I don't like it enought to get one. And I've been wondering, why do bloodred pets have green eyes?

The new demi is very pretty, but something about its mouth seems very odd to me. There's a line of light/shading right around the moutline that curves in such a way that every time I look at the demi, I can't help but think that it's mouth is stuffed.

I also wish the dark matter "glow" was a bit softer, as it is in the old DM demi image.

I like the new DM Demi. I nice improvement. Though I wish the DarkMatter around it's neck were small like how it is on the older version. It also looks a bit akward around it's neck when it's laying down. I love how they float around in a circle around its horn though.

The BloodRed Escalade is pure awesome! It's so sleek, shiny and dripping with blood. What's not to love about it! I would be so tempted to make Naowi BR but I love galatic to much to change it.

Even though the new one is better artwise, I prefer the colors of the old one. It's kind of a shame they couldn't have touched up that pose with one of those trace-revamps without going all the way and revamping it color, pose, and buildwise. Not that the new one isn't lovely--I just know there are some pets I chose specificly because they had certain color markings or some such detail, and would be quite sad if they ended up without that little aspect.

I'm gonna be changing mine too. This DM Demi, while nice, is NOT what I chose when I colored my pet. The facial expression, mostly, is what I miss. I think I'll wait until May 6/7 to see if a Galactic comes out, but if that doesn't pan out, I'll be species-shopping for that pet as well.

Love the BR Escalade, even though BR isn't my style. It kind of looks like it's jumping or pouncing or something.
