Imperial Exam

Post by Wingsrising »

Anyone remember that Imperial Exam game from WAY back when? Well, it's now gone live here.

Sadly, I suck at proofreading and therefore suck at this game.

Not bad, a 1:1 ratio and really simple to play. If I were still into Neopets, I'd make 3k a day on this. Of course they only come out with something like this after I leave. If only there were zombies, I'd say this game was tailor-made for me. ^_~

I might come back to Neopets for a game about proofreading the utterances of zombies.

That kacheek at the beginning is adorable.

Oh, and the game is nifty. I want to try it in some other languages too, I bet I wouldn't be too bad at French, at least the easy words.

Oh, I remember that I'd mess up with the British spellings. I can't remember if I'd say they were spelled incorrectly and the game said they were fine, or vice versa. I also suck at proofreading. I usually end up secretly editing my posts 3 or 4 times.

Aww, I always thought I was pretty good at spelling, This is really testing me, even in the intermediate level!

The Kacheek in the beginning is funny, but the snoozing Grarrl grosses me out a little. I really have to keep from snickering at all the crying (and the occasional sneaking-in) Neopets. They're amusing, but in that, they're distracting!

(edited for a misspelt/typoed word :P)

I don't especially like either proofreading or zombies, but a game about proofreading zombies? That I could get behind.

Hee. I'm better at French than English. I think it's because I'm overconfident in English so I go too fast.

I can't play this game because I'm certain I will start memorizing the incorrect spellings for some words. I heard somewhere once that language teachers have the worst spelling because they spend so much time circling wrongly spelled words in bright red ink.
If you're ever in doubt, throw a pepper in the air. If it fails to come down, you have gone mad, so don't trust in anything.

That was neat, except my brain automatically corrects a wrong word, so I don't always realize it's spelled wrong...

I feel so bad sending away the poor spellers, they get so upset! Also, is it just me or is there something about the font that makes you second guess yourself? For some reason the type seems to make it trickier.

Wow, 3k a day. Nice.

*adopts mantra pose* I will not get too hopeful about what TNT might be doing that's making them stall for time with old content, I will not...

Snarkie did mention someplace that they were having meetings to discuss the storyline for the next plot...

I like this game, pity my reactions are too slow to get a decent score on it :?, good for builing them back up again I suppose. I let through a few on the third round though, probably because {like a lot of others} I automatically correct the mispelled words in my head ><. A good game though, I might add it to my favourites if I manage to get good enough at it to pass the third round.
