Just as a warning to everyone looking for the new colours:

The problem with pngs not changing to reflect gender changes seems to be very, very bad with these new pets. It must be getting on for half a dozen I have entered as male which have come from female pets (or the other way round, though usually not) where the png hasn't changed. So just be very very careful and if in doubt over eyelashes, check with a dressed up version of the opposite gender or another colour from the species.

I've found two urls for ghost nimmos: http://pets.neopets.com/cp/sbgzfol9/1/2.png and http://pets.neopets.com/cp/dfdw9s3w/1/2.png. The pets (here and here) are both female but I'm assuming the images aren't- but I can't tell which is which.

I've also found another hissi url, http://pets.neopets.com/cp/39tqhrjg/1/2.png on this female pet but it's different to the one in the database. I think it must be the one for male pink hissi as a couple of other female pink hissi have had the other url.

I think both of those Ghost Nimmo images are identical, even though the urls are different. I would say that they both look like the male image because the pet on MiROOcle's userlookup has fairly distinct eyelashes and I can't see any eyelashes on these two. Maybe someone uploaded the wrong .png image for the female Ghost Nimmo?

I'm not sure the images do get uploaded in that way, though- I'm guessing "generated" is more accurate than "uploaded" for how they process the images from the flash form to the static .png form.

Also! I remembered some people posting links to images of their pets by using their pet's name and not a random collection of 8 characters. Having looked for checkered moehogs and only found two, one of which was in the pound, this struck me as a useful thing- because pounded pets have no userlookup with .png image, and previously I was discarding them as useless. In case anyone else was also discarding pounded pets as useless in the search, the url form is http://pets.neopets.com/cpn/PETNAME/1/2.png

I finally found a fully-clothed, unaccessorized Royalboy Pteri.... and it's a girl.

It's not just a case of the image not updating with a gender change since the Royalboy Male that I found (who was missing his shoes and thus can't be used for the database) has giant bushy eyebrows which this one lacks, and the real Royalgirl uses a different color scheme.

How do we submit crossdressing Royals?

Edit: The Pink Hissi that you found is definitely female, Daisybell. I've got no clue why some pets with the same image have different URLs, but it's got the Female Hissi eyes.

Edit 2: Also, the Female Brown Hissi image currently in the database is actually an unclothed Desert. The correct URL is 7bgr9nx8.

Currently, you can't, because I'm planning on fixing it so the crossdressing Royals don't show up. The thing is, it's difficult to find them because you can't search for royalboy or royalgirl - you have to search for royal, and if you add female you'll pretty much only get royalgirls, not female royalboys.
