Neocolours

I used to visit the site few years back and I remember in the past it used to show pet poses before revamp eg. the old style baby acara, green colour baby mynci and blue colour baby shoyru. etc I can't seem to find those pictures on the site anymore Was it removed?

I'm not going to try and explain the ins and outs of all our database changes- suffice to say that it's quite, quite different now and incorporating all of the old pets would be very difficult. I do find it interesting to look at them, and if it was just a case of finding all the old images then we could have them again on the site, but it isn't- someone would have to code up a new database section. There are also bandwidth and storage limitations which we didn't have a few years back.

If you want to see the images, then it is still possible to do so: you need to visit http://web.archive.org with an old style pet image url- for example, the baby nimmo: http://images.neopets.com/pets/happy/ni ... y_baby.gif

If you put that in the search box, you'll get a list of dates on a page like this and you can click those to see the images it has archived from then- the one for April in 2005 has the old pink baby nimmo.

They're all still there... if you look at all poses of a specific pet, it shows all of the new ones plus all of the old ones. Example: Robot Pteri and Baby Acara. Or do you mean something else?

I think, Cranberry, they mean the old old poses- this acara, for example:

I can't find the other old pets than they mention, though, like the differently coloured mynci and shoyru. It might be that they weren't archived, or that they had a different url- I'm not sure.
