The talk of the favicon reminded me that we used to have a custom 404 page, and poking around in the cpanel made me realise that hey, we can have one here, too. So we now have a custom page for all of the errors (400, 401, 403, 404, 500). If you want to see the 404 page- they're all variations on the same theme, just with a different title- you can just make up a URL. If making up a URL is too hard, here's a made-up url for you:

http://nc.empireirc.net/doesnotexist.htm

You can guess what I created it from; it was very quick to do but it took a hellish amount of time to make it valid xhtml. Any problems, let me know.

I think it's great. Go figure that the forums are represented by a custard pet.

Which reminds me (looking at that) - I've been putting this off until I got around to fixing some bugs etc, but now that that is done, shall I move the main site to the root directory, so that it has an easier place to refer to?

I'll need to do some poking to get it all set up perfectly, but it'd be cleaner.

Edit: Went ahead with it anyway, might as well get it done. http://nc.empireirc.net/ should work now, please let me know if it doesn't.

But honestly, good idea -- it's all pretty and useful.

I wish the forums were anything other than a custard pet, especially next to the oh-so-pretty royal and darigan pets. But other than that, that's lovely and useful!

Its cool I like the choises of pets, the royal flotsam is a cute pet

Forgive me for being stupid, but...

aren't we meant to be packing up and moving again as soon as we can agree on a domain name? Therefore, what's the point in making adjustments here?

The new domain will be applied to this current site, in much the same way that it can currently be reached by using the nc.empireirc and kamil.slashcity http's.
