Carnival of Terror II avatar
This was released minutes ago, and we're all assuming get a score over 725...
*fumes* WHY did they remake this game?! I could truly get an avatar in the classic version because I have a 2nd place trophy. The score would have been like, 2500, but still! I'm workin' on it as we speak. It's looks fairly attainable despite the remake.
Typing hints/cheats:
piecrust = more ammo
custard = more health (This used to equal more time in the original, so don't get the two confused).
And here's Tetrahedron's COT II guide:

Eurgh, I'm sorry to say it but that is one crappy avatar. Why is there a massive blank white space surrounding the graphic? It looks so... amateur. *snob*
I would've much preffered this one or at least something similar:
Whinging aside, thank you for posting about this! I'll still be aiming to get it at some point for the +1 on my avatar count. But I won't ever use it. Because it's shit.

I wouldn't have noticed that had you not pointed it out. *needs new glasses*Fury wrote:Eurgh, I'm sorry to say it but that is one crappy avatar. Why is there a massive blank white space surrounding the graphic?
On the boards that white space won't show up anyway. (I like it much better than the old version. )

I'm being very picky really, LOL.Usul_Princess wrote:I wouldn't have noticed that had you not pointed it out. *needs new glasses*Fury wrote:Eurgh, I'm sorry to say it but that is one crappy avatar. Why is there a massive blank white space surrounding the graphic?

On the boards, the space which contains your username, avatar and pet information is actually a light grey and shows up any white space left on avatars (such as the Wheel of Excitement avatar) on my monitor at home, although I must admit on my laptop I can't tell so much.
I don't know, I think I'm just a little disappointed. I've always been enthusiastic about collecting avatars and was excited to hear that TNT had finally broken its long hiatus but both this and the Nimmo's Pond one seem to be rather... sloppy? Bah, maybe it's just me!

I hope I can get this avatar. I improved my score a few times and even got 705 three times, but haven't gotten over 600 since.
Seeing as that I have a score of 1900+ in Faerie Bubbles and 3800+ in Nimmos Pond, being close to the needed score is no guarantee I'll be able to attain that score.

I wish TNT would release some more non-game avatars!

Re: Carnival of Terror II avatar
After reading the guide I can make it around 620 (when I don't forget to use the codes in time - which happens embarrassingly often). Hopefully I can go up from there.
I'm fine with the avatar but they really could have done a tidier job with the white area - a few more minutes in flash or photoshop and it would have been clean as a whistle.

I got it, finally. I was online when this was first discovered and I played until I was ready to bang my head against my desk in frustration, so then I had to go to the store, play a board game with my sister, cook and eat dinner, and watch some TV before I came back to it. But the avatar is mine.
315 avatars, I am the collecting master.
How did I get started down this evil path?

Ugh, so frustrating. I've now gotten 705 five times and 708 once. It's so much harder to play at home on my laptop where the game screen is small, so I've been trying to sneak a few games in from work here and there.

Re: Carnival of Terror II avatar
Finally got it with a score of 758! (previously my high score was 677)
Tips that helped me out: I shot the bigger/medium clowns with 4 shots and the tiny ones in the background with 2. When there were too many clowns on the page I used two shots on all (possibly three if not so many - head-arm-head).
Also got very very lucky with time and ammo power ups (I had at least 5 of each).
I used the biggest screen/low resolution.
