Faerieland - http://www.neopets.com/faerieland/index.phtml
Faerie City - http://www.neopets.com/faerieland/faeriecity.phtml
I think both maps look fantastic. I especially love the Healing Springs.
I know some of you hate the animation, but I think it was used well.

It's between the Faerie Quest and Faerie Bubbles signs. The blue capped spire with no window.Rah wrote:I can't find the hidden towerrrrrr D:

First of all: it's about damn time. How many years ago were we promised this? Secondly: AWESOMESAUCE. The artwork is beautiful, and there aren't too many animations scattered around. They really could have gone with better colors for the city though. Seems kinda over the top.

Wow, I actually rather enjoy these. The animations aren't OMGINYOURFACE like in most of the maps, though I would have liked to seen that rainbow water river thingy done differently.
The City is overwhelmingly pink though and I'm going to miss all the clouds. But this is 110x better then I had ever hoped for, so I cant' really complain.

Wanna donate towards my drink gallery, the Golden Goblet.

Faerie City is a bit too pink for my taste, still pretty though.
Faerieland map however is gorgeous - I can't get enough of it.

It's very pretty. I especially like the little Maths Nightmare Babaas-- so cute! And Faerie City is lovely. I'd often thought the art in Faerieland was bizarrely outdated.
Surprised they seem to have done away with the portal to Altador, though. You could say that since the plot's been complete for a couple of years they have less need to publicise it-- but then, why have they kept the obsolete link to what Faerie-painted pets look like, when we have the Rainbow Pool which is more up to date?
Oh, and a little secret I heard from the HC: the magical plushie of prosperity actually has a chance to bring prosperity to people, now...

I can't say I like it, but it's better than I expected.. I expected it to shine like Edward Cullen in the sunlight . And be pinker..
..And why does Faerie City seem zoomed in? o_O; It's a little.. strange.

I'm not sure I'd extend it so far as "prosperity", but I did just get 1,773np from itOh, and a little secret I heard from the HC: the magical plushie of prosperity actually has a chance to bring prosperity to people, now...
I really like these maps - they fit so much better with the rest of the site now.
Re: Faerieland Revamp
It is ... pink. It scares me a little bit. Also, I'm not sure about the statues at the healing springs, do these faeries have arms that can reach their ankles?
I like the new "zoomed in" faerie city, it looks like it could be busy and cosy.

I like that TDMBGPOP is working again!
Re: Faerieland Revamp
It's been a while, but I have fully decided that I hate this map. I don't know if it is my computer or what, but clicking on links is nearly impossible and things take forever to load. It also slows down my browser as a whole.

Re: Faerieland Revamp
I actually got a quest and had to go here yesterday, the Flash slowed down the browser to such an extent that I had to minimise the window after clicking a link just to get it to register the click. It's pretty - but pretty unusable, too.

Re: Faerieland Revamp
It kills my computer too - so much that I bookmarked the healing springs and grundo plushie so I don't have to visit the map. It wasn't that bad, loading-wise, when it was first released, so I don't know what they did to it but I've seen a lot of people complaining.
To avoid having to navigate to the map for quests, I always just click on the shop wiz and you'll get a link right to the quests page there (when you have an active quest).
