Re: Pokemon D/P Trading (And Battling?) Thread
Thanks, Joey! I told google to remind me on the date it starts. I love these events where I don't even have to leave home. =D
Re: Pokemon D/P Trading (And Battling?) Thread
Oak's Letter is available via Mystery Gift now, if anyone wants a shaymin. :D

Another heads up, the next US giveaway is Arceus! It's back at Toys R Us, from November 7th through the 15th. http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/N ... vent_dates
Also, don't forget to pick up Shaymin on Platinum if you haven't already!

Awww, I have to go to TRU? I got used to sitting my home, downloading things to Platinum... but I really need an Arceus.

The nearest TRU is 30 minutes from here, and I don't know how to get there. And I could never convince someone to drive me there to download a pokemon...
I assume it's just TRU? No Gamestop or anything? I know where one of those is...

Heads up that the TRU event is this week, though the word is you should call beforehand because not all locations are running it.

Yeah, until the 15th. I'm gonna see about sneaking by after class Tuesday.

If anyone gets an extra arceus or manages to clone it, can they send it my way? Curses to not having the event here. D:

Re: Pokemon D/P Trading (And Battling?) Thread
We are heading off to TRU tomorrow to get our Arceus, yay! And yay for us having uh, like two copies of platinum and two of pearl and one of Diamond xD; We'll have lots of extra legit Arceuses. So if anyone needs an extra, let us know. I know we can at least give away one of the extra Pearl ones!
*by us I mean FMD and I of course. We come as a set, apparently.

OK, kinda late to the party, but I have a question.
What do I have to do to get the network connection? Do I need some kind of special equipment? It seems unlikely that they'd expect kids all over the world to be able to get their hands on some specific piece of apparatus, but it's the only thing I can think of. *feels like a doofus*

You need a wireless internet connection. Generally a cable modem or the like, and a router set up to allow your DS to connect wirelessly. You might be able to find a coffee shop or something with free wireless. (McD's almost all have wireless available here.)

You can also get the Nintendo DS wireless router, which you plug into your computer like any ordinary USB flash drive. It works to provide internet through your computer just to your Nintendo DS. We have one that we used to use, and we had to turn off our firewalls to get it to work but generally it was okay.
