Is there some different method to getting invites this time? I spent the last 30 minutes watching tv while constantly refreshing on the ballroom dance scene, since that worked last time to get invites. I've yet to see a single one of the new batch.
And if there isn't a new way to get those, here's to hoping public bitching helps this time @@

Seerow, being able to refresh in the ballroom to get invites was a glitch. You need to go to the ballroom when you accept dances individually, instead of just refreshing on the actual ballroom.

edit, cause I had a dance with Anthony that I don't believe has been mentioned here yet:

Anthony: “I don't know why people keep inshishting that Adriette offed Vernon. Not only doesh she not have the strength, but it alsho makes no shense. Why kill him before she won him over and-- *hic!*-- married him for the money?”

I finally got an invitation, some different news from Anthony:

Anthony: “Come to think of it-- *hic!* Oh, my! Pardon me!-- I did shee Jules storm off in shome direction earlier tonight. I can't recall if it was toward that antechamber or not, but he looked plenty upshet.”

He's such a cute drunk.

Edit: I got more invitations... yay for public bitching.

Boudewijn: “I've been thinking. Mister Yun hasn't accepted an invitation from the Ziaran Council in years, but this year he comes, and I assume it's because he had something he wanted to show off, right? Instead, he winds up dead. Maybe that was his intention: a dramatic exit from life. Maybe this was suicide. He never did look happy since his wife left him, and especially less so since she died.”

Boudewijn: “I sort of like that Marcel guy. He's spent his evening a bit like I have: sitting back and watching people. Neither of us have done much dancing. Hey, if I can be that successful in ten years' time, I'll gladly be a wallflower now.”

I forgot about the achievement that goes with it until now XD

And however I was thinking it in my head made it sound or look like something Celtic. Not that I know much about French or Celtic languages.

He seemed so distracted worrying about Jules and what he could do to cheer him up after his argument with his father, Vernon. It must be nice to have friends like who care that much. He seemed like he'd have done anything for him.”

“Frankly, with all the talented, very well paid engineers on the Grand Ballroom staff, including Victoria Ventura, I find it suspicious that we were left in the dark long enough for Vernon to be killed and no one notice. Was she really downstairs fixing a problem before the opening ceremonies? Or was she causing it?”

I wish they'd turn the achievements back on for this part; I'd danced with all of them, and had unused invitations from all as well, waiting for just such an occurrence. But then it seemed the window to get the achievements was only a few hours, and all took place while I was asleep/at work. When I got home again, the place was dark and the achievements had, apparently?, been retired. *woe*

I must be doing something wrong? I don't think I ever got an invitation from the characters. Is it random whenever you go to the Dance Floor?

Also looking for rejection Achievement, since I might as well xD So anyone I invite, feel free to reject it :3

Wait what, there were achievements for the invitations?

Yeah, for what seemed, to me anyway, about five minutes. x.x

I went to bed, having used a few, and saved a few, in case they became important later, and when I came home from work the next afternoon, there was a ping from #collectors, with a post that there was now an achievement for dancing with each NPC, but also an edited in warning that now that the dance floor was dark, the achievements weren't working.

The new invites aren't giving them, and I've tested a couple of the old ones, and they don't give them either. They just bitch at you for waiting too long. >.>

I completely missed that, and I have opened a few invitations and had a few left.

For the new ones:
Anthony: “The old guy ish dead, huh? I shay he had it coming. Those controlling typesh sheldom make and keep friends for long. Shurprised Marcel hung around ash long ash he did. Maybe he had enough.”

Abigail: “Marcel seems like a jovial enough fellow, but I wonder how he was doing financially. That was a nice mask, but from what I'd heard, he didn't seem as lavishly dressed as he had in years' past.”

[Huggles]

Yeah, I was around for what I thought was a long time, and I didn't get any either.

Boudewijn: “I think I lost count of how many drinks Anthony has had. His wife is going to be so embarrassed with the way he's been running his mouth. I'm not sure how much stock I'd put in anything he's said tonight.”

Abigail: “I can't believe it. My first Masquerade and something like this happens. I can't say this is at all what I had imagined. I hope it ends with poor Mister Yun and no one else gets hurt.”

Abigail, no! Don't you know the first rule in a story like this is to not tempt fate by saying something stupid like "I hope no one else gets hurt"?!

Also, Anthony is effing adorable.
