I really like this one. I think it is really well drawn, lots of personality. But I think I few of the poses let it down a bit (ranged attack, close attack, and angry) but all around it's one of the most mutant mutant pets there are. I like the colours although I think the brown looks better as that blue makes it too similar to things like the darigan blumaroo.
I love it and I want one! I'm not a big fan of mutant pets (except this and the tonu) and I certainly ain't a fan of xweetoks... but this is awesome. Classic cartoony escaped lab rat methinks.
The ranged attack pose may put me off from getting one though... would have been better switched with close.
We'll see. Great pet though

Actually, it appears that there is a bite on each ear.AngharadTy wrote:I like happy, and sad is a cute idea, and close attack is kind of neat. But the inconsistencies in the limbs bother me (and the ears, too, which are backwards in the defensive pose--I mean that the bite flips sides on the ears, in that pose). I'd like it if the limbs had.. y'know.. bones in them.
Edit to add: My only fear is that now that this pet exists, they'll never make a non-mutated rat pet. =(

Ee, me likey! Awesome, cartoonish mutant, with lab-rat appearance to boot! 'Tis probably a good contender for those pets one continually labs for stats with no planned final colour/species =P
I'm actually cool with the colour, and kinda prefer it to the boring brown/grey. I guess I just like animals painted blue/green/somethingelseoutrageous =P
Can't say I like the shading, though. It's just... off, somehow. And old-looking neo art != good. However if it's given a quick reshade before release the mutant xweetok will definitely live on my top twenty list ^^

Thanks to Twisted for the awesome set!
I love it! I think it's well drawn and full of personality. Even the colors I think suit it very well (I love the orangey-yellow of the eyes with the blue of the coat). I think too many people want Neopets to be as "realistic" as possible, but I love the fantasy creatures and colors. I think it's just a really great, well done mutant. Leagues ahead of the crap Uni we got recently. I'm not sure I would ever own one myself, but I definitely like the pet, and if I ever had a character in mind and this color would suit, I would definitely go for it.

Ye-es... But that's not what I mean.Silverevilchao wrote:Actually, it appears that there is a bite on each ear.AngharadTy wrote:I like happy, and sad is a cute idea, and close attack is kind of neat. Look at its right ear. The one to our left. In the happy pose, the bite is missing from the back/bottom of the ear. It completely switches sides in the defensive pose, to the top/front near where the ear joins the head. The ear is supposed to be swiveled--see, it's all blue, indicating it's twisted around to lie flat, the way dogs do when they're upset.
And where is the bite in sad?

Properly hidden, the way it's supposed to be.
And the other ear's bite switches sides, too. Compare happy with angry. Or circle with happy, even, though I realize they likely just mirrored that part of the image for that, but it was very lazy of them.
