Thank goodness for hedge bets is all I have to say. :-)

Is it just me or is there only one race worth anything today?

I won 172,656 NP (a 9:1 and a 27:1).

Yeah, I was right... it was about time for Gooblah to fail us (I think he won the past 10 days in a row or so). I would have only gotten that one bet, Lucky at 9:1, but I accidentally made that 27:1 bet last night (Ned+Lucky), so that really helped me, heh. I hope everyone won at least a little NP.

Today... don't even bother, seriously. Only Lagoon is really good, and I would say to try "wheeling" Gooblah again, but there are just too many guys of 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 and 6:1 and we'd have to waste a lot of NP trying to account for all the possibilities. If you like, just make two bets: Gooblah alone, and Peg Leg Percival alone. If that 9:1 wins again, yay, NP. If Goo wins, we just get the NP we bet back -- no gain, no loss. But I wouldn't do a bunch of bets today.

Wow, I'm really, really glad that I decided to hedge the most certain bets, because all the hedges won and I got 98886 NP! *jumps around with glee*

I didn't bother with hedges or anything and just bet the most likely-looking 2:1s. I got nada. :P Oh well. I didn't spend much at all on it this time, so it wasn't a huge loss.

Whoot! Peg Leg Percival paid out at 11:1. :-)

It looks like only 1 good race today, too. I'm not sure if it's worth wheeling with the first race (with a 2:1, 3:1, and 4:1) or not.

At about 11:30 NST I placed one bet because that was all that I felt was worth betting, but somehow it managed to randomly disappear. :-/ I placed 3 others, different ones, this time, and the odds had changed. Weird. Still not that great today. I guess the first week was just that good. :P

Haha, it's fun that Peg Leg turned into an 11:1 and won. That's a nice 52,756 NP for me, and I only spent around 9.5k on my two bets.

I'm not wheeling today. I'll just do the same thing as yesterday... place one bet on Dan, one bet on Ol' Stripey, and hope Stripey wins. ;)

Once again all I have to say is: hedge bets rock.

Hmm. Today it looks like there are 2 races that add up to less than 100, but none with a clear-cut winner. Interesting.

Yes! Stripey turned 13 and won! Awesome ^.^

The first two races are nice. I'll do each separately, both together then make some hedges.

Yep, the 11:1 turned into a 13:1 and won (like I said before, that happens quite often). And that is why we hedge, ladies (and gentlemen?). ;) I just wish I'd paired him with one of the winning 2:1s... but still, making just two bets and winning 60k+ is fine by me.

Pretty annoying odds again today. I'm making that one bet on Goo and one bet on Buck... oh, and maybe Goo+Fran and Goo+Ogletree, too (it's about time for Goo to start winning again... although Buck has a pretty high win percentage too, so who knows -- maybe a Fran+Buck bet would be okay). Five bets would be my max. None of the other races seem worth wheeling.

:x *is a gentlemen* I haven't made bets for the past two days so I missed all the hedge NP, ah well. Grats everyone that didn't miss.

Hmm. No hedge bets paying off today, but what I did win covered my bets, plus a (small) profit.

One perfect race today. Make a wheel with that, or just bet on that one race and hope for something better tomorrow? There are quite a few pirates we'd have to wheel Grooblah with...

I'm not bothering today. Made one bet on Goo and one bet on Goo+Fran, and that's it.

I made 20K profit yesterday (yes, not much but I can only bet 1266NP per race)

From what I can see there is only one race worth betting on (Hidden Cove), so I will most likely place a bet on the two most likely to win, so if the likely one wins I get not profit, but I get 7x my NP if the other wins.

I've started getting a bold, weird system going. I bet for all the good 2:1 rounds and then look at the bad ones and bet the furthest shot. Usually the craziest hedges don't work out for me, but I try them anyway. This time it's paid off pretty well. :)

Collect Winnings
Round Bet Info Amount Odds Winnings
2867 Hidden Cove: Gooblah the Grarrl
4542 NP 2:1 9084 NP
2867 Shipwreck: Puffo the Waister
Hidden Cove: Gooblah the Grarrl
4542 NP 26:1 118092 NP
2867 Shipwreck: Puffo the Waister
4542 NP 13:1 59046 NP
Total Winnings 186222 NP

That does fairly well make up for my past few times.

Now I'm waiting for those stocks of mine that are doing kinda well to hit my far-flung sell point. SKEI got really close once.
