Possible Malticorn Revamp

I don't like either of them. While the new one isn't as much as an eyesore as before, the design of the pet itself still sucks.

I voted for the older one. Though the art really sucks, I prefer the feel of the pet. The new Malticorns just look so bland to me. I really wish it had more of a personality to it, and the mouth really bothers me. It just doesn't really look right. I wish there was more energy in the pose, as the old one displayed.

Well, I hate both versions. I wish I could vote for the third option of "remove this hideous pet from the site, PLEASE." But I guess since I can't, I'll vote for the old one and hope that the artist makes some more drastic changes.

Ugh. I prefer to be blissfully ignorant of this pet's existence.

Yeah, seeing as it's a unicorn dog, it'd be weird for it to not have any dog anatomy. D: maltese unicorn = malticorn.

I'm neutral in any case, malticorns aren't my kind of pet and probably won't ever be. :p

I like the malticorn, both versions. I think the idea of a puppyunicorn is adorable. Maybe it needs smaller legs?

I'd always taken them for a reference to those 'golden retriever with a horn on' creatures I don't recall the name of (lyora?) in Brust's Dragaera novels. Now that I think about it, this seems preposterous.

I actually like the malicorn, not really a huge fan but I found it cute. I was hoping for a revamp so it could bring out it's potential. Now that it's on polls, I'm not sure what to think. I do like the better art, the face is better along with it's ears. The legs do look stiff but that doesn't bother me as much as the way the hooves look. They just look stuck on, I find them to round. I think they should look more like what the reborn's hooves look like. I also feel the tail should be more fluffy. I also do miss it looking up but I know that can't be helped.
I'm just hoping they don't touch the reborn, I think it's perfect as is. It doesnâ€™t need to be touched, nope.

Since I have a Malticorn, I was disappointed by the revamp. The Archan I have used to be a Dragarth and that revamp saddened me enough to elixir him.
The good thing is that it's still smiling. So few of the revamps have the pets smiling like they used to. Second is the tail. That seems to have survived. Improvement on the feet and the belly. The old one looked like it had gas or worms.
Everything else needs to be considered before they release this revamp. The Reborn and Graveyard are gorgeous. Even the Angelic is impressive, but I know that will be redone due to color linework. The posture is odd becuase it looks like it's missing a place to bend the foreleg. The curl in the collar fur? Why? It can go in a place where it would make sense, like the tail, it ear. I like that they kept in in the revamp, but putting it somewhere else was strange.
The pose itself could do with a revamp as well, but I believe dynamic poses are only considered for special colors.

I don't hate this new version completely, as the old one needed a lot of work, but when they said about the revamp of the Kanis that they based it off the popular Angelic version, why not base it off the popular versions of the Malticorn.

IAWTC. :/ Honestly, the old Malti's so completely outdated and inconsistent with pretty much everything else on the site that ANYTHING is an improvement. And I never thought the Malti was supposed to be a pretty elegant unicorn-type pet anyway (at least the non-redraws), I always figured it was supposed to look silly and overly-cutesy. In fact the new one has a far more intelligent look IMO, while the old one seems to be staring cross-eyed at its own forehead while saying "DURRR I HAS A HORN :B" or something

Okay hum... XD I have to say I laughed at a little, but certainly not maliciously. I was actually offended by a lot of your comments directed at me, but eh, that's life!
About the Malticorn... To be honest, I didn't get any Staff redlines for the eyes OR forelegs, only now that I changed the eyes... I noticed how scary they were/are. I'm in the process of changing the forelegs, then belly and chest. I also fixed a few other things that... I won't name here because it'll totally ruin everything.
One thing I don't get, actually, is how it looks fat. Honestly, it looks healthy to me, but I sure can try to fix/change it.

Also, as Rah mentioned, pets, except for Glacier, are all meant to look at the user, so... there's really nothing I can do about it D: Sorry.

Alright, I'm really pleased you're taking crits on artwork ^^ I personally don't think the Malticorn looks fat, it's just the lack of pose and mouth and eyes that I do not like about it, but they're minor and can be tweaked easy I suppose :3

I think the present Malti looks fat. The revamp completely fixed that. . I love my Malticorn, even if others pan it as a pet.

Everyone will have an opinion, and not everyone will be happy, but it's nice to know you are considering opinions of the people who have them.

P.S. Or you could just put wings on it. =P
