Paralix revamp poll - Revamp now in
I like it. It's essentially the old Paralix but with better art. (MUCH better art!) Go, artist!
I like the little tufts of fur on the legs. Nice touch.
Re: Paralix revamp poll
It's pretty! I've always liked the Paralix, but never enough to actually get one, so this is really nice. ^^ I like how it's essentially the same pet/pose but much more detailed.
I love the curly whiskers

Re: Paralix revamp poll
I wish almost all revamps were like this. Stays true to the original but just updated. I can't find a single flaw with it. The detailing on the fur is lovely, as are all the gold fur patches.
I'd like to see some canines added in like the original had, but its really no big deal and I'm sure the Bloodred and such will have them.
Bah I want this and the new Malticorn and no more pet slots

Wow! I love it! The paralixes have always been one of my favorite pets and this one is a great improvement. Great job Keshi!

Re: Paralix revamp poll
In the news I said that I thought the tufts of fur on the legs were too stiff, and now that I see it again I realize that the front legs' tufts look fine, but the back legs' tufts look off. The front legs give the impression that the hair is thick, but still flowing and free to movie with the Paralix; the hair on the rear legs still looks as though it easily flows, but the direction its flowing in doesn't seem to match the [perceived] movement of the creature. It looks prettier extended the way it is, but I'd expect it to be curved back a bit (I'm assuming the Paralix is kicking its legs back), or falling towards the ground more due to gravity.
Anyway, this is a much needed revamp and I think the artist did an excellent job staying true to the original.

Re: Paralix revamp poll
Hmm, you're right. The fur tufts on the back legs should fall down more. I also agree that the canines on the original would be a nice touch and it would be cool to see them added.
Still, these are minor nitpicks. Good job, Keshi.
Some people on the news are commenting that the pose of the front hind leg, in particular, looks somewhat unnatural. I think they're right, but I prefer it that way. It gives a more stylized, dramatic look. It's pretty.

I agree - it's simply stunning, without being revamped too drastically. I must get one now - I always wanted a Chinese dragon, and the Mahar doesn't cut it. I love it! Very good, same old Paralix, but with much better art! Me likes. I think it would look better if the snout were a bit shorter, more like the original, but that's my only complaint. Good job Keshi!

Re: Paralix revamp poll
It looks very good, and staying true to the original is very kind and well-appreciated. All too often I think pets change too much. But this is a perfect blend of old and new. Very nice work.
I also like the fur tufts and I don't think they're too stiff; it's kind of an optical illusion because the rear legs are in different positions, so the angle of the fluff coming off each is not parallel. Then again, that's just my impression; the forelegs do that too.
edit: Wow, look at that revamp poll. New ones always win, but... landslides are more fun. (Wonder what the few on the other side say, but... not enough to sort through subeta forums.)

Re: Paralix revamp poll
I'm so very happy with this! I have a paralix and felt they needed a face and this is what I was hopeing for. Like people said before, this stays true to the original but makes it look a lot more up to date and pretty. I must admit, I thought when it did get revamped that it would end up looking like all muscled like the galatic which I find doesn't fit the paralix at all. So I'm so happy to see it kept it's slimness. Great job Keshi!

Re: Paralix revamp poll
That is probably the most amazing poll results i've ever seen lol, almost 2000 to 56 XD
No seriously this is by far my most fav revamp, I HAVE to get one either in it's common color or whenever
they bring out more special colors, those belly scales are beautiful <3 i'd like to see the fang like teeth
added back on and the back leg tweaked a bit but those are only minor nit picks, absolutely gorgeous <3

Re: Paralix revamp poll
I wasn't even aware the paralix needed a revamp. XD The title stunned me so much I jumped to subeta to look at the news.
It's... the same. XD Same pet, updated artwork. Very very nice looking. Very happy to see it staying the same, too. I didn't even notice the leg hair until you guys pointed it out. But I like the way the hair looks in general. It looks like hair now, rather than a serrated fin. XD
I give it, five thumbs up!
Edit: I also forgot to add, if this revamp goes through, and I don't like the revamped GY malti, I think I'll be changing my Ikkaku to a paralix, which would also be fitting to an extant (all I ever do is talk about Ikkaku on the forums these days. Sorry guys.).
Edit Part Dos: I just realized it now looks like a red, shorter version of Haku from Spirited Away. 8D

Re: Paralix revamp poll
I don't like the new one. It looks too crowded because of the darker colors and the way the part of the mane that extends back looks flimsy now. The shading doesn't have the sense of direction and unity the old one has, and the tufts of hair on the legs look smushy. I wish the shadows on the old one were kept, because it gave the Paralix depth without making it look overshaded with the added fur zig-zags. The back legs are a little limp---the one farthest from the viewer would look better if the knee joint were bent more, and the one closer to the viewer is awkward just hanging there (the same problem applies to several other pets on the site, like the angelic Darkonite). The tail looks tacked-on, and would make a more pleasing composition if it were longer and curled under the belly. It doesn't look muscular enough to be attached to its owner.

Oooh, I think it looks fantastic. I'd totally get one of these if I had room.
