I know, I think the least us Krawk owners deserve is two redraws. But you could argue that on the last two pet days we've only had one colour. Since Invisible doesn't count.zebru wrote:Shame it's the only colour for the day though. If colourfils are all TNT is capable at the moment why not at least release two of them?
I'd have quite liked a Robot Krawk. Something about a Robot Alligator thing seems interesting to me, but I wonder how many people would zap a Krawk to get one. Unless it can be done through FFQ. I'd check daisy's page but I'm feeling lazy.
I don't think we should be congratulating them on something that should be common sense. >_>
You can't get robot from the fountain, although I think it was possible at one point- it might just have been a glitch. But yes, you'd have to be pretty crazy or very rich to zap krawks or draiks for robot.
And in a way I'm glad that krawks didn't do better than other pets on their pet day this year- maybe that's sour grapes since I don't own a krawk, although I could afford one. But there's something rather unfair about TNT giving colours to a pet which is very expensive and not giving colours to easily available pets.

Snow, in April? Unlikely. And since the Desert Krawk was shelved (go look it up, it's a shopkeeper called something like Mysterious Krawk) it's not the most obvious choice to be released.
Also, I think that while Subeta having every pet in every colourfill is a good thing, Neopets have far more poses than subeta pets do: happy, sad, circle, angry, ranged left, ranged right, close left, close right, hit left, hit right, defended left, defended right, beaten, small happy and small sad, compared to just one for Subeta pets. Fifteen poses, even counting that some of them are simply one of the other poses flipped, is a lot more work per colour than a single 200x200 image.
It isn't quite like that in Flash. I'm not saying it's vastly more complicated, but that isn't how it's done. If it were true, what happens with a pet occasionally having spots of other colours would be impossible- it's done with Flash's paintbucket, almost certainly. You have to move your mouse all the way to the top of the screen to open the Hue/Saturation dialogue!

I keep forgetting they use Flash and not Illustrator. It's just not on my radar at all, for some reason.dandelions wrote:It isn't quite like that in Flash. And unless I'm mistaken -- and I might be -- Neopets artists get paid actual money for their work, whereas as far as I can tell Subeta artists just get bennies and experience.dandelions wrote:Fifteen poses, even counting that some of them are simply one of the other poses flipped, is a lot more work per colour than a single 200x200 image.
Oooh, you know what? I love them! I like the way the hair looks shimery and stuff.
Compared to other Spilts, it looks like a masterpiece.
Yes, it'd be nicer to have a Krawk Revamp than this colour, I agree with a Robot Krawk seeing as there is a Robot Draik and many people have them via Rainbow flasks, although the Petpet got a better revamp to look more like a Krawk, the pet still looks dull and old-fashioned.

True- though the Neopets artists do have other site content to be getting on with, while the Subeta artists really only seem to have to do pets, items, and the occasional site character. I know a staff artist through LJ and she's been doing huge amounts of overtime recently (26 hours one week). I have no idea what's going on but I think it's distracting them from producing pet art.
(Subeta artists do technically get paid...technically. Think last I heard it was in cash shop dollars.)

Meh
I'm, no fan of split pets, but this one is quite nice, and I agree, a lovely shade of purple. I'm pretty certain that Split krawks didn't exist, could be wrong though. Besides, all of the different pose colours for Krawks were already done, so this was bound to happen, I think two colours realease might have been nice though, perhaps sponge...
AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! *seizures*daisybell wrote:You can't get robot from the fountain, although I think it was possible at one point- it might just have been a glitch. But yes, you'd have to be pretty crazy or very rich to zap krawks or draiks for robot.
Why.... Cannot get my robot kougra from fountain? !!!!!!!!
I hate you.... You crushed my dream..... *draws shotgun* Oh wait, the shells are for TNT, not you *tosses a spork to her*
TNT uses M. Flash and M. FireWorks, with some Illustrator for the cards and the comics mostly. Despite that, they don't know how to full exploit them *shakesfist* (at least a 75% of TNT's artists). Dunno if the artists from Subeta uses other thing rather than Photoshop, but, I guess it is more hard for them to imput the code for mood-battle poses rather than to draw them (at least I believe they can, but if they do it, they will be more "sued" about being Neopets plagiators and that over-spoken stuff).
And I still believe that krawk tail have wings! Cinetic lines anyone?
--*flute-flute* I'm the faerie krawk tail and I'll gonna eat your soul too!
